As a graduate of the Hands-On School of Massage Therapy, I am a highly trained professional, who adheres to the strict code of ethics for massage therapists as designated by the International Massage Association. About Massage . . . Massage, the touch that heals the body and comforts the soul. There is nothing that feels better, or is more nurturing, than receiving a massage. Whether touch comes from a gentle caress, a confirming handshake, or a well-deserved hug, positive human touch can be very powerful in our daily lives. Through massage, I strive to alleviate stress, promote relaxation, improve circulation, enhance function of joints and muscles, stretch connective tissue, disperse edema, facilitate healing, restore flexibility to strained muscles, and strengthen the immune system. An increasing number of studies have shown consistent massage sessions, whether those sessions are weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly, are beneficial to one's well-being mentally, emotionally and physically. This will vary from individual to individual, depending upon the level of stress and physical condition. And, of course, the best reason to schedule a massage...it simply feels great! Massage is available by appointment only, and includes Swedish, sports, hot stone, aromatherapy, and pre & post-natal massage.
